About Me
I'm Vicki (she/her), a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I have a rich background of experience in various roles within the NHS. Working with remarkable patients and colleagues has fueled my passion for enhancing both mental and physical well-being, leading me to pursue a career in counselling. Throughout my training and work I have witnessed both professionally and personally the benefit of having a facilitated safe, supported, confidential therapeutic space to explore past, present and future complexities, with acceptance and compassion.
In my private practice, I have also serve as a volunteer counsellor for an adult mental health charity and hold an integrated masters degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Salford. My experience extends to therapeutic work with children and young people, where I used creative approaches in a space that encourages play. I have a wealth of experience working with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationships and trauma supporting clients from different backgrounds.
Beyond my practice, I am dedicated to mentoring higher education students who struggle with their mental health and those who are neurodiverse. This mentorship involves providing support, guidance, and resources to help them navigate their academic and personal challenges, fostering resilience and self-awareness to help them believe they can achieve.
